Óscar Troya appointed new CD Atlético Baleares head coach
The 48-year-old Mallorcan coach joins the white-and-blue side to lead the club’s sporting project for the 2026-2027 season.
Arriving from UD Poblense, where he has spent the majority of his coaching career since 2016, Troya has established himself as one of the most respected managers in Balearic football. He brings extensive experience across Spain’s Tercera División, Segunda División B, Segunda Federación and Tercera Federación.
This season, he guided UD Poblense to the promotion playoff finals for Primera Federación, where his side narrowly missed out on promotion after a penalty shootout defeat. Under his leadership, the team enjoyed an impressive campaign, recording 16 wins, 11 draws and 7 defeats in 34 matches to finish third in the league table.
During his time in charge of the Sa Pobla club, he also secured promotion from Tercera RFEF and led the team to the league title in the 2024-2025 season. Among his most notable achievements is the Tercera División championship won in the 2019-2020 campaign, which earned the club promotion to Segunda División B.
Óscar Troya will be officially presented to the media on Friday, 12 June, at a press conference scheduled for 12:00 noon at the offices of our sponsor, Titanes Inversores Inmobiliarios, located at Camino de Jesús, 8, 1st Floor, Palma.
Welcome to Atlético Baleares and best of luck, Óscar!
