Óscar Troya: “We want to win on Thursday and again on Sunday”

Our head coach spoke to the media ahead of our Copa del Rey first-round tie against CD Eldense.

“I think football takes a back seat today. On behalf of the club, the squad and myself, I’d like to extend our deepest condolences to all the victims.”

“It’s a great competition and an exciting opponent to face. It’s a competition in which the club is determined to do as well as possible.”

“There’s a significant gap between the two divisions, but that doesn’t mean we’ll give up or make things easy for them.”

“Playing at our stadium, with our fans behind us, against a top opponent – all the ingredients are there.”

“They’re a team from a higher division, with players who belong at that level.”

“We want to compete tomorrow, we want to get through to the next round, and we want to win on Sunday.”
