CD Atlético Baleares complete their summer transfer business with the signing of Alberto Espiñeira

CD Atlético Baleares have signed Alberto Espiñeira Bozada (Seville, 2005), a 21-year-old right-back/centre-back who joins from Sevilla Atlético. The defender becomes the final blue-and-white signing of the summer transfer window, completed on deadline day.

A product of the Sevilla FC academy, the Andalusian has spent his entire career with the Seville-based club, progressing through the different age groups before reaching the reserve team. The Seville-born defender was called up to the Spain U15 squad in 2019.

Last season, he made 16 appearances in Primera Federación for Sevilla Atlético, providing 1 assist. During his time in Sevilla’s academy, he has made more than 100 appearances, playing mainly at right-back but also at centre-back.

Espiñeira arrives at the Estadi Balear to strengthen the team’s defence and complete the squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Marc Julià, sporting director:

“We’re very pleased to bring Alberto in. He gives us the profiles we needed to complete a 22-man squad. He’s a versatile player who can operate both at full-back and centre-back, particularly in a back three.

He’s intense, disciplined, difficult to beat and very solid defensively. On the ball, he keeps things simple and makes good decisions. He also arrives with experience of competing in Primera Federación and has an excellent footballing education after spending his entire academy career at Sevilla FC.”

Welcome, Alberto!
