CD Atlético Baleares 24/25 starts with a victory (3-0)

The blanquiazul team wins 3-0 against CE Manacor in the first preseason test

Around 400 people gathered this afternoon at the stadium to watch Mut’s team debut. The opponent was CE Manacor from the 3rd RFEF Balearic league. The match began with CD Atlético Baleares dominating possession and space, creating superiority in the build-up play. In the 24th minute, the first goal of the evening came from Tovar. The Mallorcan forward used his powerful shot to score a great goal from outside the box. With few chances and little danger, the minutes continued to pass. However, at no point was there any sign that Manacor might equalize. Just before the end of the first half, Jaume Tovar again scored from the penalty spot, giving the home team a 2-0 lead. With this, the first half came to an end.

In the second half, Jaume Mut made 9 changes. In terms of play, it was very similar to the first half. The home team dominated possession but did not create any significant chances. In fact, the first shot on target was almost in the 80th minute, courtesy of Bover. As the match was nearing its end, a great strike from Chris Robin from outside the box made it 3-0.

After the match, Jaume Mut shared his thoughts: “The feelings are positive, no injuries came out, which is very important in this type of match.” He also pointed out areas to improve for the upcoming preseason games: “We need to improve our finishing. We didn’t create enough chances, and that’s something that cannot happen in future matches.”
