Atlético Baleares wins against Mérida (1-0) and is no longer the last-place team

CD Atlético Baleares secured a home victory against AD Mérida (1-0) thanks to a great goal by David Rodríguez. Under Juanma Barrero’s leadership, the team capitalized on their opportunities in this twelfth round of matches in the First RFEF Group II. Thus, ATB once again managed to keep a clean sheet and move out of the last position in the league standings.

The match began with both teams sizing each other up without taking risks. The visitors found their opportunities through two long-distance shots. Padilla and Ben Hamed tried to surprise Jero. Towards the end of the first half, ATB improved and came close to creating danger. The score remained 0-0 at halftime.

The second half was different. The home team sought victory, and a good play by David Rodríguez resulted in the first and only goal of the match. In the final stretch, CD Atlético Baleares held on and endured to secure the three points.
