Painful defeat at “Sa Plana” (1-0)

Despite a great performance, the blue-and-white side leaves Sa Plana empty-handed.

In the first half, the team started with a very fluid and dynamic style, creating several chances thanks to Moha’s dribbling skills and the clever through balls from Jofre and Bover.

The bad news came with Jaume Tovar’s injury — he had to leave the pitch after a concussion, and Äxel came on to take the most advanced position.

In the second half, the team kept the same intensity, attacking the spaces well but unable to find the net. In the 55th minute, a mistake while playing out from the back allowed the Andratx side to take the lead — their first real approach to our goal all game. By the 61st minute, the home team went down to ten men.

During the last 20 minutes, ATB kept pushing forward, bringing on attacking players like Víctor Morillo and Miguelito, as well as Alejandro to reinforce the defence.

The blue-and-whites continued to press with shots and crosses into the box, but the local goalkeeper’s outstanding performance denied the team the goal they deserved.

A match in which we deserved much more, but one that reinforces our belief in this team. The positive note was the debut of academy player Adrià Català, who came on as a centre forward.
