Óscar Troya: “The three points are important to build on what we’re doing”

CD Atlético Baleares head coach Óscar Troya spoke to the media ahead of matchday six in Segunda Federación, with the team set to host RCD Mallorca B this Sunday at 12:00 pm at the Estadi Balear. Following the win over UD Poblense, Troya discussed the team’s current form, the keys to the upcoming fixture and the latest squad news.

On the team’s recent form

“There will be good weeks and bad weeks, but the important thing is to keep up the momentum we’ve built. We want to keep improving our football, control games and keep the opposition as far away from our goal as possible.”

On RCD Mallorca B

“They’re a good side on the ball with plenty of individual talent. We need to come out on top in every phase of the game and perform at our best.”

On the importance of picking up three points

“We’ve won one out of one. Now we want to make it two wins in a row. The three points are important to build on what we’re doing.”

“This week’s game is the most important one. Our only focus is on Mallorca.”

On the link with the Under-19 A team

“We have a good relationship with the Under-19 A team, and that benefits the club. Giving the young players the chance to train with the first team is good for both the club and the players themselves.”
