New Faces at Atlético Baleares: Pablo García and Jofre Cherta Join with AirEuropa Support
Atlético Baleares presents Jofre Cherta and Pablo García and renews with AirEuropa until 2026
This morning, CD Atlético Baleares held a special event at Estadio Balear: the official presentation of Jofre Cherta and Pablo García as new first-team players, and the renewal of the sponsorship agreement with AirEuropa until 2026.
The event was also attended by Patrick Messow, the club’s General Manager, and Mario Hidalgo, AirEuropa’s Chief Operations Officer.
Patrick Messow:
“We want to thank them for being with us for another year. This is a local company with an international presence that continues to strongly support this project. Thank you very much, Mario, for your commitment and constant support.”
“We are calm, we have free spots available and we continue to monitor the market. Our goal is to add one more attacking player, but we won’t sign just for the sake of it: we’re looking for an extra boost to help us make a competitive leap. We are happy with the squad we have.”
“Pablo is a safe bet between the posts. At 23 years old, he is one of the best goalkeepers in the group. He stands out for his reliability, reflexes and ability to lead the defence. He also has playoff experience, as he did last year with Torrent.”
“At 24 years old, Jofre has played over 90 matches in Segunda RFEF. He is a young player but with plenty of experience in the division, very versatile and able to adapt to different positions. Last year he was a standout player at Terrassa, contributing goals and assists.”
Mario Hidalgo:
“We are delighted to remain linked to Atlético Baleares for another season. We hope that this year we can achieve the goal of promotion. We know there is strong competition, but I am fully confident that we will move up to Primera RFEF.”
Pablo García:
“I personally spoke with Marc Antoni (goalkeeping coach) and he conveyed great confidence from the very first moment. They seemed convinced. I know the group and coming here is a step forward. The facilities are top-class, we have all the tools to feel comfortable and the ambition we need.”
Jofre Cherta:
“I’ve known the club for a long time and have always considered it a great project. I was eager to take this step. Everyone here conveys trust. I bring energy, quality on the ball and a positive attitude, something that often makes the difference over the course of a season.”
