Juanma Barrero, the new head coach of CD Atlético Baleares

Juanma Barrero is the new coach of CD Atlético Baleares. The Extremaduran coach joins the club after having managed AD Mérida. With the Extremaduran team, he achieved runner-up and promotion to the First Federación in the 2021/22 season. In 19 matches, he secured 14 victories, three draws, and only two defeats. Last season, he guided the team to an eighth-place finish, narrowly missing qualification for the Copa del Rey. Barrero also held positions in the sports management of UD Conquense in Segunda B and served as an assistant to Alejandro Menéndez at Albacete in the 2020/2021 season.

The new Balearic coach also has a long playing career.

Barrero arrives at the white and blue club to take charge of the team, which currently has one point after five matches played. Alongside Juanma Barrero comes his assistant coach, Sergio Cano, who also served as his assistant at AD Mérida. They will be joined in the coaching staff by the fitness coach, Joan Valentí, and the goalkeeping coach, Marc Antoni Rodríguez.
