Jaume Mut’s first win at Atlético Baleares bench (3-1)
CD Atlético Baleares secured victory against Linares Deportivo at the Estadi Balear (3-1). Jaume Mut claimed his first three points as the Blanquiazul coach after a solid performance with high efficiency. The goals came from young talents Piera and George, along with Raúl González, who made his debut wearing the Balearic shirt.
The match began with a respectful minute of silence in memory of Toni Salas Fuster. From the initial whistle, the Blanquiazules showed their desire to claim three points. In the 7th minute, the Blanquiazules took the lead with a superb goal from Juan Piera. Still in the first half, Raúl González displayed his finishing prowess to deflect a shot from Pastrana into the net. The first half ended with a 2-0 lead.
After the break, Mut’s side was reduced to ten men following the expulsion of David Navarro, who struck an opponent player. Despite being a man down, the Blanquiazules withstood the early attacks from the visiting team. In the 88th minute, George found the back of the net to make it 3-0 after a cross from the side. In the final minutes, Rafa Llorente scored the consolation goal for the visitors.
