Goalless draw in a fiercely contested clash in Sa Pobla (0-0)
ATB picked up a point on their visit to Sa Pobla after a tightly fought encounter against UD Poblense, with neither side able to break the deadlock despite chances for both teams.
The coach introduced changes to the starting XI, with Juanmi the main inclusion, while Castell returned to the centre of defence and Alejandro slotted in as holding midfielder. The opening minutes were evenly balanced, with no clear dominance from either side.
The first attempt came in the 12th minute when Gerardo fired wide. In the 19th minute, Tovar was shown a yellow card for a very soft foul. As the game progressed, ATB grew into the contest offensively. Juanmi produced a good individual move, although his effort lacked power, and on 31 minutes he was unable to make clean contact with a fine cross from Lache.
The clearest chance of the first half arrived in the 36th minute following a brilliant solo run by Iván López, finished by Darius with a shot that sailed over the crossbar. Just before half-time, Gerardo was booked for holding his opponent.
Shortly after the restart, Iván López received a yellow card. ATB maintained their attacking intensity and in the 53rd minute Darius came close to putting the team ahead with a strike that brushed the post. Soon after, in the 59th minute, Jofre tried his luck with his left foot, but his effort went over.
The first substitution came in the 64th minute, with Pachón replacing Tovar. In the closing stages, the coach made a triple change: Axel came on for Jofre, Víctor Morillo replaced Alejandro and Bover took Darius’ place. Axel added freshness on the wing and in the 83rd minute delivered a dangerous cross that Pachón managed to connect with, but the defence deflected the ball when it looked threatening.
In the 88th minute, Axel received his fifth yellow card and will miss the next fixture.
All in all, it was a highly competitive match in which ATB lacked the finishing touch in the final third to claim all three points. The next game will be at home on Sunday at 12:00 against Reus Reddis, another opportunity to secure a win in front of the fans.
