Balears FC ensures continuity of the project with the renewal of Miky Mayans and his staff
Balears FC continues to take firm steps in planning for next season with the renewal of the entire women’s first-team coaching staff, led by Miky Mayans as head coach. Alongside him, Juan Pérez will remain as assistant coach, Iago Álvarez as fitness coach, Pablo Roca as goalkeeping coach and Nicanor Ortiz as tactical analyst.
With this decision, the club strengthens the continuity of the sporting project that began last September and reaffirms its commitment to keep growing with ambition.
The team currently sits seventh in the 2nd Women’s Federation standings, with 30 points after 20 matches played, and is also on a five-game unbeaten run.
The sporting department is already working on shaping an ambitious project for next season, with the aim of ensuring that Balears FC continues to be a benchmark for women’s football in the Balearic Islands. In the coming days, the club will also announce the first contract renewals among the squad’s players.
The club’s sporting director, Marc Julià, spoke very positively about the continuation of the technical staff:
“With the renewal of the entire Balears FC women’s first-team coaching staff, led by Miky Mayans, we are giving continuity to the project we started last September. We firmly believe in the professionalism and daily work they bring, convinced that the work being done — not only on the technical side but also in scouting, talent identification and youth development — is gradually moving in the direction we envisioned.
For that reason, it is both a joy and a source of pride that the coaching staff feel this project as their own and have placed their trust in it, becoming the first building block in achieving the objectives we have set ourselves.”
Miky Mayans also highlighted the club’s trust and the shared ambition to keep progressing:
“It is a privilege to continue my journey with Balears FC. This will be my third season with the first team and I feel grateful for the confidence the club shows in me every single day. I believe we can build an exciting project.
The renewal process was very straightforward because both the club and I have a very clear idea of what we want and what we need. I am surrounded by ambitious people who always want to improve.
It was important for me to continue working with the same group of people who have been by my side this season. Now both the team and the coaching staff are stronger and better after a season in which overcoming so many obstacles has brought us even closer together.”
The club’s CEO, Patrick Messow, also welcomed the continuity:
“We are very pleased with these renewals. In the coming days we will announce more news because we are very clear about the path we want to follow and our commitment to women’s football for next season. I wish them the best of luck and I am convinced we will keep moving forward towards an even brighter future.”
