Atlético Baleares introduce Iván Serrano and Juanmi Durán at Titanes Inversores Inmobiliarios
Today, at the offices of Titanes Inversores Inmobiliarios, we presented Iván Serrano and Juanmi Durán, two signings who have already been gaining momentum during this pre-season. The club’s general manager, Patrick Messow, also attended the event.
Patrick Messow opened the press conference by thanking the sponsor and introducing the new signings: “Thanks to Javier and his family for welcoming us to their offices. Everyone knows our situation; any company joining this project is welcome, and if they are local, even better. We want to express our gratitude to Titanes for trusting and supporting Atlético Baleares.”
On the new players, Patrick highlighted: “Iván is a 24-year-old left-back with experience in the Primera RFEF and over 100 matches in the Segunda RFEF. He was key in Teruel’s promotion, featuring in every league and playoff game. He is hungry, talented, quick, brings positive energy and fits perfectly with the team’s needs.”
Regarding Juanmi Durán, he added: “Juanmi, 22, is from the island and came through Levante’s youth system. He is a fast, powerful winger who can play on both flanks. He was crucial to Andratx staying up last season, with five goals and two assists. His dynamic profile is exactly what we needed in attack.”
Iván Serrano said: “Last season I was here as an opponent and got to see the facilities. This is a project that doesn’t match the division the club is currently in. I’m here to grow as a footballer and help the club grow too; but we must show it on the pitch. Everything around us is designed so that players can focus and perform at their best. Few places offer that. When the coach arrived, he gave us the confidence to show our game as we are. Right now we are in pre-season, full of desire and motivation to achieve our goal.”
Juanmi Durán noted: “My aim is to deliver my best version and grow as a player. At Atlético Baleares there are experienced teammates I can learn from, such as Rubén Bover or Florin Andone, which helps a lot both personally and professionally. We want promotion; I see a squad that is very well built and structured for it. Above all, our goal is to win every match and give everything. We also need to take on board small pieces of advice to keep improving.”
Asked about possible additions, Patrick Messow stated: “We are happy and very calm. We’re monitoring the market and, if we find something that is truly a good opportunity and adds value, we’ll do it; we won’t sign for the sake of signing. As always at this time of year there’s a lot of work and some situations, but the team is almost running by itself, with the coaching staff and squad already in place. The first weeks were difficult, but now we are at full throttle. The president is also very motivated. In football — especially in the market — a 100% closed squad doesn’t exist, but we can say the squad is 95% complete. There are situations we’re observing and we must be very sure before making decisions; in theory, any move would be in the attacking area.”
