Atlético Baleares fight back to beat RCD Mallorca B (2-1)

A match full of chances for the Blues, who were far superior to their opponents throughout the 90 minutes.

The team started with the following eleven: Juli Rivas, Iván Serrano, Guillem Castell, Ramis, Gerardo Bonet, Alejandro Pérez, Víctor Morillo, Jofre Cherta, Florin Andone and Axel Bejarano.

In the first half, ATB created danger especially down the left wing, with constant crosses from Víctor Morillo. In the 35th minute, Florin Andone came close to opening the score with a header that went just over the bar. Shortly before halftime, Gerardo Bonet also tried his luck with a shot that went high. However, in the 45th minute, Mallorca took advantage of a counterattack and scored with a low driven shot.

In the second half, the team pushed forward with the introduction of Jaume and Juanmi, who added more depth. In the 65th minute, a penalty committed on Jofre gave the chance to equalize, but Mallorca’s keeper saved Rubén Bover’s attempt. Moments later, Juanmi struck a powerful left-footed shot against the post and in the 69th minute, Pol headed the ball over the bar.

After the hydration break came the reward: a great run from Iván López ended in a cross from Iván Serrano, which Tovar finished first-time to make it 1-1. Minutes later, Axel Bejarano scored the winner with a stunning volley for the final 2-1.

In the closing moments, Ulrich was sent off with a second yellow card after a foul.

The team picks up another win and is already focused on the next opponent: Alcorcón, this Saturday away in Madrid.
