Jaume Mut: “We played to win”

CD Atlético Baleares head coach Jaume Mut analyzed the point earned against UE Cornellà at Estadio Balear.

“I think the team, overall, played a game to win. In the first half, they could have scored another chance or two, but we had nine or ten clear opportunities. We are not happy with this draw given all the chances we created”.

“We were not sharp in the first half. The game plan was not right, and they had good chances. Despite playing a poor first half, we shouldn’t have gone into halftime losing. We played 35 very good minutes and could have easily completed the comeback”.

“At halftime, we made three substitutions because the team needed them. We need all our players. With Forniés and Tovar, the team changed. We saw on the pitch what this team is capable of. When these players are at their best, we will see a much better Atlético Baleares”.
