Jaume Mut and Txema Expósito Kick Off the 24/25 Season

The head coach of the men’s team, Jaume Mut, and the head coach of Balears FC, Txema Expósito, spoke about the start of the season at the event for the renewal with ConectaBalear.

Jaume Mut:

“Travel-wise, it’s a stroke of luck. And in terms of sports, it’s a very strong group, but that’s what we have to deal with. I’m happy because I’m excited to start. There are historic teams that the fans will like. We got this group and I’m very happy with it.”

“We’re looking at 3-5 players. They are all important because the team is above everything.”

“We are in tune. Patrick, Marc, and I are connected. It’s true we’ve had some disagreements, but without any problems. I’m very happy with the players that have been signed so far.”

“We have the preseason planned. On the 22nd, we start on the field. Soon we’ll have all the friendlies. We have many double sessions planned to get to know each other and create the team we want. We’ll play a series of away games to compete against higher-category teams.”

Txema Expósito:

“It’s a league that excites us. We know it’s going to be very competitive and we need to adapt as quickly as possible. It’s a very short league and we’ll need to adapt quickly.”

“We have decided to maintain continuity and I’m very happy. We’ll sign a few players, but I’m very happy. I have a lot of confidence in the island’s players. I’m sure we’ll compete head-to-head with any opponent.”

“We need to continue with the same line of work. What has driven us these years has been the excitement of growing and progressing. We must not settle and must continue. It’s going to be a very tough league and excitement should drive us from the first moment. We’ll compete against clubs and teams we used to watch on television.”

“The goal has to be staying up and establishing a foundation in this category. We are the newcomers and we know it will be tough. That’s what preseason is for… and taking it game by game will lead us to where we need to be.”
