First home win of the year (1–0)

The team took to the pitch with some important changes in the starting line-up, including the first league start this season for Juli Rivas and Manu Morillo. The opening stages were intense and chances came early: in the 3rd minute, Moha tested the opposition goalkeeper with a low shot to the left.

The early dominance paid off in the 13th minute when Manu Morillo opened the scoring and netted his first league goal after a great assist from Víctor Morillo. The goal boosted the team’s confidence, and they continued to create danger. Moha tried again with a shot that went over the crossbar, and in the 33rd minute Jofre had a golden opportunity in a one-on-one following a perfectly weighted through ball from Gerardo Bonet that almost extended the lead. Before the break, Manu Morillo produced another highlight with an acrobatic scissors kick inside the box that went just over.

In the second half, the team maintained their attacking intent. In the 49th minute, Moha had a clear chance, and just four minutes later, in the 53rd, Jofre once again came close with another dangerous move. Despite deserving a bigger lead, the goal would not come. In the closing stages, ATB delivered a very solid defensive performance, keeping a clean sheet in their first match at Estadio Balear in 2026.

In disciplinary terms, Bonet and Ramis were shown yellow cards. The positive note at the end of the match was the debut of Lache, who made his first official appearance for the team.

Post-match comments from Luis Blanco:

“We created a lot of goal-scoring chances.”

“We were coming off a couple of matches where we conceded late equalisers, and that leaves doubts in your mind.”

“I’m pleased with the team’s intention to defend higher up the pitch. It’s true that we weren’t sharp enough to kill the game off, and when you reach the final minutes with such a tight scoreline, the team has to battle and suffer.”

“This win gives us confidence. We have to keep moving forward because we competed well and got the job done. The last two matches were very tough blows for us.”

“In goal, it’s about creating competition. Manu has been working hard and waiting for his opportunity, and that deserves recognition. Today, those who played stepped up, and that helps us grow as a team.”

The next match will be against Girona B on Sunday the 18th at 12:00.
