Adrià Català signs his first professional contract with CD Atlético Baleares until 2029

CD Atlético Baleares have reached an agreement with Adrià Català Vázquez (15/07/2007) to sign a contract running until 30 June 2029, marking the first professional deal of the young Mallorcan striker.

Català, an 18-year-old centre-forward, joined the club’s youth academy in July 2025 from Club Deportivo Ferriolense. Since his arrival, he has stood out for his potential, commitment and steady development, establishing himself as one of the club’s key prospects for the future.

On the sporting side, the attacker is enjoying an outstanding season. In the National League with Juvenil A, he has scored 4 goals in 8 matches, while with the first team he has already netted 2 goals in just 106 minutes of playing time.

Standing at 1.75 metres tall and with his right foot as his stronger side, Adrià Català embodies CD Atlético Baleares’ commitment to young talent, reinforcing the club’s strategy of developing high-potential players within its sporting structure.

Statements from Marc Julià, sporting director: “We are extremely proud of the signing we have completed today. Cata is a player we have been monitoring for several years and who has fully earned this long-term contract. Despite his young age, he has a huge margin for improvement and great versatility, as he can play in all attacking positions. He has the quality required to be part of our first team in the future and fits perfectly with our academy philosophy: hunger, a desire to improve, confidence and quality.”

Statements from Patrick Messow, general manager: “This signing underlines our clear commitment to the academy and to the island’s talent. We believe in young players with hunger, commitment and the ambition to grow within the club.”
