Atlético Baleares draw with Platges de Calvià (1-1)

CD Atlético Baleares drew 1-1 with Platges de Calvià in a pre-season friendly played in high temperatures.

The first half ended goalless. The Blue and Whites had a good opportunity when Jofre played the ball into Pablo, but he was unable to get a shot away.

Platges de Calvià took the lead just after the restart (46’). ATB responded and pushed for an equaliser: Axel hit the post in the 55th minute and, four minutes later, Rubén Catalá won a penalty before stepping up to convert it himself and make it 1-1.

Óscar Troya’s side continued to push for a second goal and, in the 79th minute, Lázaro came close with a shot that narrowly missed the post. In the end, the points were shared in ATB’s fourth pre-season friendly.

The next pre-season fixture will be against UD Poblense on Friday 14 at 7:30 pm in Sa Pobla.
