CD Atlético Baleares unveil Alpha and Miguel Soler at Autoescuela Miguel Kalet
CD Atlético Baleares unveiled Alpha and Miguel Soler as new first-team players for the 2026/27 season on Wednesday, 12 August. The presentation took place at the premises of Autoescuela Miguel Kalet, one of the club’s sponsors.
During the presentation, Marc Julià, sporting director, thanked Miguel Segura and Autoescuela Miguel Kalet for their support of the club and highlighted the two new signings’ commitment to the blue-and-white project despite having other offers on the table.
Marc Julià on Alpha:
“Alpha is 24 and left Mallorca at a very young age. Two seasons ago he had an excellent campaign with Ávila, helping them reach the promotion playoffs for Primera Federación. He’s a right-back with excellent physical attributes, plays with great intensity and we believe he can bring a lot to the team.”
Marc Julià on Miguel Soler:
“Miguel is 24, came through Zaragoza’s academy and was a key player for UD Poblense last season. He’s a hard-working, tenacious midfielder with a great ability to win the ball back.”
“They both had other offers, but from the outset they were clear that they wanted to join CD Atlético Baleares. We’re delighted to have them here.”
On the squad:
“We still have four under-23 registration spots available and we’re taking our time. We’re happy with the squad we have and also with the way the youth players are working. Overall, we’re very satisfied. We have young players who are eager and hungry to succeed.”
“Apart from Hugo, we haven’t had any significant injuries during pre-season. If we see something in the market that we believe can strengthen the team, we’ll consider it, but we’re happy with the squad we have.”
“After the way last season ended, I think we’ve made the right decisions. We’re really looking forward to the season getting underway and now all this work has to be translated onto the pitch.”
Patrick Messow on the season-ticket campaign:
“We’ve already reached 1,800 season-ticket holders and the aim is to get to 2,000 or 2,100. There’s a very positive atmosphere around the club. Virtually everyone has renewed and we’re delighted with the response from the fans.”
Alpha:
“I’m really happy to be back home. I’m from Mallorca, I’m used to the climate and the people. After spending time away, I was really looking forward to coming back.”
“I didn’t have to think twice. Everything happened very quickly and I knew that if I had the opportunity to come home, this was where I wanted to be.”
“My goal is to achieve promotion. Baleares deserve to be in Primera Federación at the very least. Since arriving, I’ve found a really positive energy within the team.”
Miguel Soler:
“I can adapt to whatever is needed. I can play as a holding midfielder or further forward in midfield, and I’ll play wherever the coach feels I can help the team most. It doesn’t matter who I play alongside either, because everyone is going to give their all for the team.”
“My goal is promotion, just as Alpha said. We’ve come here eager to work hard and help the team achieve it.”
