Óscar Troya: “If we want to win, we’ll have to give more than 100%”

CD Atlético Baleares head coach Óscar Troya spoke to the media ahead of Sunday’s clash with Penya Deportiva in matchday nine of the Segunda Federación.

“I’d like to thank everyone for their support yesterday. You could really feel it from the pitch. They were behind us for all 95 minutes, cheering us on and lifting us when things got tough”.

“Our aim is to recreate that feeling on Sunday against a very tough opponent who know how to compete”.

“Anyone who thinks going to Santa Eulària will be easy just because of the league table is completely mistaken. Quite the opposite”.

“Penya Deportiva are a competitive side. They win their individual battles and have plenty of quality in the final third”.

“If we want to win, we’ll have to give more than 100%. Anything less won’t be enough to get the victory”.

“I approach every game with the intention of winning. We’ll try to pick the players who are in the best shape for the starting eleven”.

“We’re heading to Ibiza, to Santa Eulària, with the hunger we need to show every matchday to come away with all three points”.

“It’s a special match for me because it brings together two teams from the Balearic Islands. I hope Balearic football can reach the highest possible level”.
