Juanpe Rivas Sánchez resigns as head coach of Balears FC first team
Balears FC announces that Juanpe Rivas Sánchez has resigned as head coach of the women’s first team for strictly personal reasons.
The coach informed the club that, due to his current circumstances, he did not feel able to guarantee the maximum performance and dedication required for such a demanding position.
The club respects his decision and sincerely thanks him for his professionalism and commitment during his time at the club, as well as his exemplary relationship with the players, coaching staff, and fans.
Likewise, Juanpe Rivas Sánchez expressed his gratitude for the opportunity the club has given him over the years, the treatment he has received, and his best wishes for the club’s future success.
Balears FC announces that Miguel Mayans, until now the assistant coach of the first team, will take over as head coach. Mayans has an extensive background in youth and senior football, with over 17 seasons as both player and coach. He has worked at clubs such as San Francisco, RCD Mallorca, and CF Playas de Calvià, as well as collaborating with the Spanish Women’s Football Federation. He was part of the Balears FC coaching staff last season as Txema’s trusted assistant, ensuring perfect continuity in work and team knowledge.
We wish Juanpe Rivas every success in his personal and professional future, reiterating that he will always have the recognition and appreciation of Balears FC, and we offer our full support to Miguel Mayans in this new stage as head coach of the first team.
Good luck, Miguel!
