Rubén Bover Joins CD Atlético Baleares

Rubén Bover arrives at CD Atlético Baleares and becomes the club’s tenth signing in this transfer window.

The Mallorcan player signs until 2026 and returns to the island after 16 years away, having played for various teams and in different countries. At 16, Bover moved to England and later signed with the New York Red Bulls of MLS, staying in America until 2017. He then returned to England until 2018, when he joined FC Andorra, where he has spent the last six seasons.

At FC Andorra, Rubén Bover was a key player, helping the team reach the second tier of Spanish football. In La Liga Hypermotion, over two seasons, Bover played 59 matches, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists.

From the Sporting Direction, Patrick Messow values the signing of Rubén Bover as an arrival of high quality: “Rubén is a player who needs no introduction. After being an essential player at FC Andorra, he returns home to be important and, above all, to help us in achieving our goals. We have been looking for his arrival for some time, and we are very happy that he is here. Thanks also to his family for their commitment to the club.”

On the other hand, Marc Julià, the blanquiazul Technical Secretary, sees more than just a player in Rubén: “Bover has grit and leadership. He will surely bring a lot to the locker room, and the decision to sign him for two years shows his commitment to the project.”
