Onésimo Sánchez is no longer the coach of ATB

The club management has decided to terminate the contract with the now-former head coach, as the team has entered a dangerous dynamic, having achieved only one victory in the last six matches.

The Valladolid coach took over the team on December 27, with the team just above the relegation places, although he did not make his debut until January 8 in the visit to Gimnàstic de Tarragona. Since his arrival, Onésimo Sánchez has achieved one victory, two draws, and three defeats, the last two consecutively. The club’s sports management has decided to end the Onésimo era, as the expected change in results has not occurred and the team is placed in the relegation zone, two points from safety.

The sports management thanks the coach for his efforts and wishes him good luck in the future.

With Onésimo’s departure, David Sierra will no longer serve as assistant coach. The current fitness coach of the first team, Jesús Estrada, will also not continue. The club thanks both for their work and good attitude at all times and values their continuity in the club.
