CD Atlético Baleares come from behind to beat RCD Mallorca B at Son Bibiloni (1-3)

CD Atlético Baleares claimed a 3-1 win over RCD Mallorca B at Son Bibiloni on Saturday in another pre-season fixture ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

The match got off to an evenly contested start, with Miguelito creating the first opportunity for the visitors after nine minutes. Shortly afterwards, Vicenç Sabater produced a fine save to prevent the hosts from opening the scoring.

Mallorca B took the lead in the 20th minute. After going 1-0 down, Atlético Baleares looked to respond and had another opportunity before the break when Jofre Cherta saw his effort blocked by the Mallorca defence.

The game changed completely in the second half. Mallorca B were reduced to ten men in the 53rd minute following the dismissal of their number 9 and, just two minutes later, ATB drew level. Miguelito delivered an excellent cross and Martí Payeras was there to make it 1-1.

Around the hour mark, Troya made a host of changes to give his players valuable minutes. Adrià Català, Raúl Caballero, Rubén Bover, Gerardo Bonet, Iván López, Alpha, Barto Fontanet, Axel Bejarano, Izan Llinares and Mario Lázaro all came on.

ATB took control and began to pose a real threat. In the 65th minute, the home goalkeeper denied Axel, but the Atlético Baleares player would get another opportunity just a few minutes later. In the 72nd minute, Axel Bejarano made it 2-1 with a powerful right-footed strike.

The third goal arrived just a minute later. Adrià Català combined with Caballero before finishing superbly into the top corner to seal the 3-1 victory.

Óscar Troya’s side therefore rounded off the friendly with a win at Son Bibiloni, overturning Mallorca B’s opening goal with three second-half strikes.
