CD Atlético Baleares beats Ibiza (2-0) and finishes the league in second place

CD Atlético Baleares earned three points after defeating SD Ibiza (2-0) at Estadio Balear in the final matchday of the regular season of Segunda RFEF (Group III). Sergio Moreno and Berto Rosas scored the two goals.
This victory allows the team to finish the league in second place. Luis Blanco’s team will now face the promotion playoffs to return to Primera RFEF, a division they lost last season.
Before the match, the club paid tribute to the players’ mothers and all season ticket-holder mothers. A minute of silence was also held in memory of a supporter from the animation stand who passed away.
The match was dominated by the blue-and-whites from the very beginning. Moha stood out with several individual plays. In the 20th minute, the Senegalese player assisted Sergio Moreno for the opening goal (1-0).
With Luis Blanco’s men pressing high, the first half ended. The same dynamic continued in the second half. ATB kept up the pressure and created danger in Ibiza’s area.
In the 72nd minute, after a set-piece from the side, came the 2-0. Bover crossed, Florin controlled, and Berto finished clinically (2-0). Another goal for the Andorran striker, who scored his third consecutive goal in the league.
The match ended 2-0, and the blue-and-whites concluded the regular season in second place. Now ATB will face a fifth-placed team in the first round of the promotion playoffs to Primera RFEF, with the second leg played at Estadio Balear.
