Balears FC’s Great Victory (1-2) in San Sebastián

Balears FC won in San Sebastián against Real Sociedad B (1-2) and continues to accumulate victories in the Second Women’s Division. Txema Expósito’s team claimed the match thanks to a stunning goal by Nuria Pomer in the closing moments of the game.

The Balearic women’s team was coming off a positive week but suffered a defeat in the Copa de la Reina last Wednesday against Granada CF from Liga F. The coach made several changes compared to the Copa match, and the team remained highly focused, despite the rain. Mabel gave Balears FC the lead in the 22nd minute (0-1). At the start of the second half, Helene equalized (1-1), but from that moment, Balears FC displayed ambition and secured the victory with a goal from Pomer (1-2).

The Balearic women’s team has now collected 16 out of 18 possible points and achieved five consecutive victories. Next week, Txema Expósito’s team will host Real Sporting Fem at Son Malferit, who currently sit in the relegation zone in the standings.
