Balears FC unveil Helena Vives and Roxanne Bolduc and renew partnership with Café Rico
Balears FC unveiled Helena Vives and Roxanne Bolduc as new first-team players for the 2026/27 season on Thursday, 13 August. The event also saw the club announce the renewal of its sponsorship agreement with Café Rico for another season.
During the presentation, general manager Patrick Messow thanked Café Rico and Biel Maimó for their support of the project and highlighted the importance of having companies on board that enable the club to continue investing in women’s football.
Patrick, general manager, on the renewal with Café Rico:
“Today is a happy day because we can announce Café Rico’s renewal for another year. Thanks to people like Biel, we can continue investing in women’s football. It is hugely important to us and we would like to thank Café Rico and Biel for continuing to stand by our side.”
Marc Julià, sporting director, on Helena Vives:
“Helena is 24, she is from Tarragona and was already a player we wanted to bring in last season. Both sides were clear that we wanted to work together. She arrives with experience at this level after playing for Olímpico de León.
“She is a player who will give us a lot of defensive strength as well as composure on the ball.”
Marc Julià, sporting director, on Roxanne Bolduc:
“Roxanne is 18, she is French-Canadian and a France international. She is a centre-back who is very strong in the air and has an excellent range of passing. She is physically strong defensively and can also offer us a lot going forward thanks to her ability on the ball.”
Helena Vives:
“I can bring solidity and a huge amount of ambition. The interest goes back to Christmas last year and both sides have always been clear about wanting this move.”
“I see a very compact and intense team. We all get on brilliantly and I think we can achieve a lot this season.”
Roxanne Bolduc:
“When the season ended, I received a call from Balears and I was really excited. I’m very young, but I’ve already seen a lot of teams and I have experience despite my age.”
“I think I can bring a strong physical presence and also contribute going forward from centre-back.”
“I’m really happy with the staff and the team. We’re all very close and, if promotion is the goal, we’re going to give everything to achieve it.”
