Balears FC secures playoff spot

Balears FC has qualified for the playoff for promotion to Primera RFEF FutFem, the second tier of Spanish women’s football, after drawing 0-0 away against Viajes Interrías FF. Txema Expósito’s side finished the regular season in second place, earning a spot in the playoff. The blanquiazules will play the playoff tie (home and away) against UD Costa Adeje Tenerife Egatesa ‘B’ later this week.

The blanquiazules played a very competitive match against a Viajes Interrías side that needed a win. Reliability, security, and a few more chances to earn three points. Gabi and Pomer were a thorn in the side of the Galician defense. Sandra Torres, also very secure, prevented local opportunities on several occasions.

The final stretch was thrilling, with the home side seeking crosses but without reward. With the initial 0-0, the match ended, and Balears FC celebrated their qualification for the promotion playoff.
