Luis Blanco, at Padel Club Mallorca: «We want to be a dynamic and joyful team»

The coach’s words ahead of the first match of the season

On Friday, September 5th, ATB head coach Luis Blanco held the pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s 8:00 pm clash with Castellón B. The event took place at the offices of Padel Club Mallorca.

Team progress and playing philosophy

“The team has been taking on board what we want to be, a side with energy and courage. Now it’s about competing at the highest level of demand.”

On Miguelito’s return

“The best news is getting a player back after twelve months out injured; I’m really happy about it and I know he can give us a lot, but we must be patient until he finds his competitive rhythm.”

On the squad and the competition

“I believe this will be a very competitive league. We want to climb as high as possible, go out to win every weekend, no matter the opponent, and always with the support of our fans, which for us is essential.”

On the team

“There are things we can improve compared to last season, it’s not about being better or worse, but we need to take a step forward in every aspect: cohesion, energy and the team’s presence. We’ll be playing a lot in the opposition’s half.”

On the fans

“For us, the support of the fans is crucial. We want to be one: club, players and supporters. We are the first who must lead by example and show commitment. There will be good and bad runs, but consistency and unity will be key throughout the season.”
