Julia Hjørlunde signs for Balears FC

Miguel Mayans’ side has strengthened its defense with the addition of young Danish player Julia Hjørlunde Hansen

The 24-year-old Danish center-back has signed for Balears FC. Hjørlunde and the club have agreed on a one-year deal, meaning the defender will play the entire 2025/2026 season with the Balearic side, where she will wear the number 23 shirt. The agreement was reached after the player ended her contract with Boldklubben af 1893 (B.93) in Denmark. She therefore joins as a free agent.

The Nordic defender is known for being a complete player: she can cover both central defense and full-back positions. She stands out for her strong reading of the game and decision-making on the ball, as well as her defensive solidity and aerial strength.

Last season, the former B.93 player featured in nine league matches in Denmark (a competition contested by eight clubs), totaling 319 minutes. She also previously played for Odense Boldklub.
