Iván López and Julián Rivas, unveiled at the offices of our sponsor Miguel Kalet

Atlético Baleares presents two of its new players for the 2025/2026 season

This morning, CD Atlético Baleares visited the offices of Autoescuela Miguel Kalet, our sponsor recently renewed for two more seasons, who has also just launched the Miguel Kalet Foundation, a project with a strong social mission and international reach to promote road safety worldwide.

Statements from General Manager, Patrick Messow

“First of all, I want to thank Miguel for continuing to trust the club and for welcoming us to his offices for this press conference. These two signings perfectly represent the new path we want for the club.”

“Julián is one of our own, he grew up here since youth categories and now returns after a year with U.D Porreres, where he achieved promotion to 2RFEF, playing a key role in the penalty shootout. He is eager to prove his talent and signs for two seasons, which shows the club’s commitment to him.”

“Iván López, a 24-year-old centre-back with experience in 1 RFEF and 2 RFEF, will bring aggressiveness and solidity at the back. He also has excellent ball distribution, which will help the team build up play. Last season he was crucial in Teruel’s promotion to 1ª RFEF.”

“We like these profiles because they combine youth, energy and commitment. Right now we have a short squad, but very competitive. There are still days left in the transfer market and we have free spots, so we continue to assess options calmly.”

“The important thing now is to show it on the pitch. Like last season, nobody will give us anything for free: every weekend will be a test. But I fully trust this team, because it has the character to compete with anyone. Tomorrow at 20:00, in the Nicolás Brondo Trophy, will be the final test of this preseason.”

Statements from the players

Juli:

“For me, being here is the best. From the moment I got the call, I didn’t hesitate for a second. I want to give my all and bring positivity. I know the competition will be tough, but I’m exactly where I want to be: at CD Atlético Baleares. With the coaching staff and teammates I feel at home, and that’s amazing.”

Iván López:

“When last season ended, Baleares already contacted me. It’s true that I had offers from 1ª RFEF, but I didn’t hesitate: this is a great club and a great city. The group is fantastic, both the players and the people working in the club.”

“I think it’s going to be a great year. Obviously, the playoff is an objective, but to get there we must go game by game, every weekend.”
