Hard-fought win in Barbastro (0-2)

The blue-and-whites strike gold on a difficult pitch thanks to a great collective effort

The game started with little football and lots of clearances, as the ball was very hard to control due to the poor state of the pitch. The clearest chances for both sides came from set pieces. The first half continued without either team taking real control. The bad news came with Pablo García’s injury in a clash inside the six-yard box.

After the break, Juli Rivas came on to guard the goal. Ten minutes in, from a corner in our favour, captain Rubén Bover scored a spectacular olimpico to put us ahead.

From the 60th minute onwards, the team began to take control of the game, but in the final stages UD Barbastro threw everyone forward, forcing our back line to drop deep.

Thanks to the fantastic work of the balearicos, the hosts didn’t create any real clear chances late on.

In the last minute of stoppage time, our top scorer Tovar produced a brilliant individual move to seal the win and make it 0-2.

ATB take a hugely valuable +3 that strengthens the team’s positive run.
