Goalless draw in Ibiza (0-0) as Jaume Tovar returns after 100 days injured

CD Atlético Baleares secured a point in Ibiza against Penya Esportiva (0-0) on matchday 20 of the Segunda RFEF League (Group III). Jaume Mut’s team had several clear chances to take all three points but lacked precision in the final meters.
The match began with a great opportunity for Sergio Moreno. The forward had a one-on-one, but the local goalkeeper deflected the shot from Atlético Baleares’ number ’23’. Shortly after, the home team shot over Morillas’ goal.
Plomer had another big chance against the goalkeeper, but he saved Ibiza’s side. In the 40th minute, Pol tried again from distance.
The game reached halftime goalless. After the restart, Bover had a clear chance, but his shot lacked power. In the second half, the most notable moment was Jaume Tovar’s return after more than 100 days sidelined by injury.
The 0-0 draw held until the final whistle, and ATB earned a point in Ibiza. They are now fifth in the standings, four points behind the leader CE Europa. Next weekend, the blue-and-white team hosts UE Cornellà at Estadi Balear on Sunday, February 2, at 12 noon.
