Gerardo Bonet, from Port d’Andratx to Estadio Balear

Gerardo Bonet joins CD Atlético Baleares as the first blanquiazul reinforcement for the new season.

The player from Port d’Andratx comes to the blanquiazul team after being one of the captains and, above all, a key player in CE Andratx in recent years. Gerardo played for the Andratx club in their promotions from Preferente to Tercera RFEF and also to 2RFEF. The 26-year-old has also been very important and had a prominent role in this year’s 2RFEF stay with 28 games played, 4 goals, and one assist.

Gerardo Bonet is a ‘box to box’ midfielder, with a lot of range and a bright future. The former CE Andratx player already wore the blanquiazul in his Cadet years before joining the youth ranks of RCD Mallorca until reaching the Bermellón reserve team.

The Sporting Directorate views the arrival of Gerardo Bonet with great enthusiasm. Technical Secretary Marc Julià praised his signing very positively: “Gerardo is the first signing of a team created to compete from day one. With many experienced Mallorcans hungry to achieve important things. He is a player who covers a lot of ground and gives everything on the field.”
