CD Atlético Baleares defeats Mallorca “B” 0-1
Jaume Mut’s team overcomes the reserve team in the second preseason test.
CD Atlético Baleares won 0-1 against Mallorca “B” at Son Bibiloni in a match marked by intense heat. The game between the two 2ª RFEF teams started off evenly matched. Neither side managed to take control of the ball, but the blanquiazules seemed more comfortable on the pitch. So much so that in the 15th minute, a good play down the left wing culminated in a low cross from Fornies that Pascual capitalized on to score the first and only goal of the afternoon. It was Pascual’s first goal of the preseason. The following minutes continued without a clear dominator. Only a few long-range efforts from Mallorca “B” posed any threat to Jagoba Zárraga’s goal. With that, the first half ended.
In the second half, Jaume Mut again opted to change nine players. However, the gameplay remained flat but effective due to the lead gained in the first half. In the 60th minute, it was Mallorca “B”‘s turn to make substitutions. With fresh legs, Siviero’s team showed more ball control, but they still didn’t create any real danger for Atlético Baleares’ goal. In the 89th minute, the clearest opportunity of the match came when Jaume Tovar hit the woodwork twice in quick succession. There wasn’t time for anything else, and the match ended there. It’s the second game and the second victory for the blanquiazules, who continue to fine-tune their form.
