Helena Vives, new addition to Balears FC

Helena Vives brings experience and leadership to the Balears FC defence

Balears FC continue to strengthen their squad for the 2026/27 season with the signing of Helena Vives Cantero (Valls, Tarragona, 2002), a player with extensive experience in Spanish football who will add experience, defensive solidity and versatility to the team.

At 24 years of age, Helena joins Balears FC after spending last season with Olímpico de León, adding another chapter to a career that has seen her represent Atlètic Vilafranca, CF Igualada, Sporting de Gijón, Parquesol, SD Huesca and Atlético Villalonga.

The Catalan defender made her debut in national competitions at a very young age and has built up considerable experience in the demanding environment of Spanish women’s football. Her leadership, defensive intensity and ability to read the game make her a valuable addition to the squad.

Head coach Miky Mayans’ comments

“Helena Vives is an experienced centre-back who knows the league extremely well despite her young age. She has played for several Segunda Federación clubs, including SD Huesca, Sporting de Gijón, Atlético Villalonga and Olímpico de León. She will give us more options in possession and help us build from the back thanks to her vision and bravery on the ball. Defensively, she will also bring extra competitiveness and high standards, as she is a player with real authority.”

Welcome, Helena!
